The idea behind the store is simple. A lot of the things that make you feel looked after — a scalp massage, a facial, a proper sports massage, a decent nail trim for the dog — are things you have to book, travel to, and pay for again a few weeks later. Most people give up on them, not because they stopped caring, but because the appointment never fits.
So we stock the handheld versions. Rechargeable, quiet, simple enough that you will actually pick them up on a Tuesday night rather than saving them for a special occasion.
How we choose what to sell
- It has to replace something you would otherwise book. Every device in the store stands in for an appointment.
- It has to be easy. No technique to learn, no attachments to research, nothing that ends up in a drawer.
- It has to be quiet enough to use. A device that startles the dog or wakes the house does not get used twice.
Where we are going
We are a young store and our range is deliberately small. We would rather stock four devices we can stand behind than forty we cannot. The range will grow, slowly, in the same direction.
